Donate your furniture

We love to receive your unwanted furniture, white goods, electric household items or bric a brac. You can drop it into our shop anytime Monday to Saturday 9:30 to 4:30 or arrange a collection or house clearance if you can’t make it down yourself.

A note about what we do and don’t collect, we do collect all furniture items that are in good enough condition to go to a new home. We don’t collect items that are seriously broken or are unrepairable.

Gift Aid makes your donation go 25% further for St Luke’s Cares! Please let us know if you, or the donor or the family member arranging the donation is a tax-payer. If so, when the item sells in one of our shops we can claim from HMRC an extra 25% of the sale value. 25% more towards our projects!

  • Dirty/Bad Smelling Sofa/Chairs or with cushions missing
  • Items without fire labels including mattresses, sofas, chairs, dining chairs.
  • Wardrobes that have been dismantled, or wardrobes that are 3 doors wide.
  • Large modern office desks
  • Electric beds, Electric Recliner Sofa’s (we can take chairs)
  • Gas appliances & cookers
  • Tumble dryers (including when integrated into the washer)
  • Wall units above 120cm wide
  • Medical and or mobility aids
