St Luke’s Cares is a charity committed to making South Leeds a better place by harnessing the skills, abilities and confidence of local people to reach their potential.
The Shine Project is an exciting programme supporting girls and young women in inner South Leeds. The project raises the awareness, resilience and character of girls growing up in South Leeds through providing in-school and in-community courses, girls groups and one to one mentoring.
The First Steps Project offers free training in the community to help people learn how to volunteer in a charity shop, ESOL classes and covering everything from sorting donations to customer service and trading standards. Participants build skills that they can take into employment or further training and have the opportunity to contribute meaningfully as volunteers in our charity shops.
Rise is a new and exciting project supporting young men and teenagers in South Leeds. It's developing quick with a range of mentoring programmes in school and in the community. Watch this space for updates
We run a range of other projects including an Asset Based Community Development Project and a Young Mums group. All projects we run are invested in bringing positive change in the community through creative means.
