We depend on support and kind donations to keep doing the important work in our community. We really appreciate any donation of furniture, house clearance booked or money donated and we work hard to ensure it all goes straight back into our community projects and reaches the people it needs to.
When we receive your items we sell them in our charity shop or online and it enables us to mentor a young woman in crisis, support a class of ESOL students, run a course about youth violence in a school or provide valuable work experience and support to long term unemployed.
Our Youth Projects
Our youth projects work with 11-22 year olds in the communities of inner South Leeds. Through our youth projects RISE and Shine we run a wide variety of work from crisis support, mentoring, schools work, sports, youth clubs, violence reduction work, detached outreach and a young mums group.
Community Projects
Our community projects reach widely across our community. We run a range of projects from an asset based community development project (ABCD), a health inequalities project (Better Together) and work to address the cost of living and climate crisis (Save Money, Save the Planet).
First Steps Project
Our First Steps Project is an innovative retail training and volunteering course based at our thriving charity shop/furniture warehouse. Through the First Steps we provide accredited retail training, supported volunteering, work experience and ESOL classes.
Each year we like to celebrate the impact we’ve made at St Luke’s CARES, looking at stats and stories. Here’s some of the figures and a link to our latest social impact report.
